Join the library for an intimate panel discussion between three Asian American scholars on topics of their research in Asian American studies. We will be joined by Dr. Vivien Ng (Associate Professor Emerita of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at UAlbany) who will discuss the challenges and joys of researching family history in the Capital Region and beyond. Dr. Chingyen Mayer (Associate Professor of English at Siena College) will discuss her approach to studying writings on memoir and homeland, and Dr. Gwen D’Arcangelis (Associate Professor of Gender Studies at Skidmore College) will discuss her oral histories with activists about the role of Chinese medicine in 1960s Asian American activism. We invite the audience into a glimpse of the work in Asian American Studies in the Capital Region!

Registration for this event is encouraged, to ensure a seat. Masks highly encouraged and will be provided.
Sponsored by AAPI Heritage Month 518.
