The Hudson Library & Historical Society’s new virtual science fiction/fantasy book club will meet on July 16 at 7 p.m. to discuss Neverwhere by #1 New York Times bestselling author Neil Gaiman. In Neverwhere, Richard Mayhew’s world is turned upside down when he rescues a young woman named Door. Mayhew must navigate between the real world, and the fantasy realm in the subway tunnels beneath London as he helps Door. According to Publishers Weekly, “Gaiman blends history and legend to fashion a traditional tale of good versus evil.” The book was selected as one of NPR’s Top 100 Science Fiction and Fantasy Books of All Time.
Neverwhere is currently available to read and listen on Hoopla, accessible from the library’s website at hudsonlibrary.org.
