Outside

Friday, Oct. 14, 5pm
Since 1972, the Upstate Films team has been finding and sharing the world’s best movies, along with the occasional live event. We’ve built a program of cinematic delights, including short films, excerpts, various oddities, and a few surprises. It’s an evening sure to please movie lovers of all kinds. Food truck care of Joust and live music featuring The Wolftones! Bring a blanket or a chair and get comfortable on the lawn.

The Processional Arts Workshop, known for their annual Sinterklaas’ exploits, will lead a Black & White Masquerade, from Upstate Films to the Starr Library as a prelude to the event. The uproarious, come-one, come-all parade will feature great figures from silent film and post-1972 cinema from Buster Keaton to Eraserhead.  Please gather at the Upstate Parking lot right behind the theater at 5 pm to be part of the fun.

"Doors" open at 5 pm
5:45 pm: music by the Wolftones
6:30 pm: Short film selections, including the Buster Keaton film One Week with a live soundtrack by Wolftones
Sponsored by Upstate Films.
