Lunchtime Learning at the Beatrix Farrand Garden: Watercolor Painting Workshop

The third installment of this popular series! Led by local artist Roni Wilder-Guidi, this watercolor painting workshop for beginners will take place at the Beatrix Farrand Garden, located on the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historic Site in Hyde Park. Beatrix Farrand was the first professional woman landscape gardener in America, and in 1899, one of the founding members of the Society for Landscape Architects. During this workshop, Roni will demonstrate basic watercolor painting techniques for capturing the natural world. Participants are encouraged to bring a chair to work from, but all art supplies and snacks will be included. Class size is limited! Please RSVP. 


About the Facilitator: 

Roni Wilder-Guidi has lived in the Hudson Valley for almost 40 years. After receiving her bachelors degree in Art History, she entered the publishing world in NYC as a graphic artist and continued her career as the art department manager of a stationery/craft company. Her love of fine art was rediscovered after retiring in 2018. Roni loves to explore the natural world through water, pigment and paper. When not painting, she enjoys cooking, gardening and the outdoors. Roni lives in Woodstock, NY with her husband, Don.
