AAUW and the Library present author Devin Murphy. Murphy is Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and author of The Boat Runner. His latest novel, Tiny Americans, follows the Thurber family through more than 30 years of their lives. The three Thurber children learn to navigate life after their father leaves them and as they become adults and have children of their own. As they mature, they find that their childhood is something they cannot escape even though life has scattered them across the country.

Murphy holds an MFA from Colorado State University and a PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has contributed to more than forty literary journals and anthologies including "The Missouri Review," "Glimmer Train," and "Confrontation."
