Thread of a Silkworm with New Mettle Farms

Children will discover one of China's most prized producers - the silk worm! These unique and amazing creatures hatch, eat, and prepare a cocoon of a single silk thread in their metamorphic journey to becoming a moth. Hear the story of Empress Si Ling-Chi and discover how silk worms are raised and silk is made in this interactive presentation. See live silkworms! Recommended for children in grades K-3. 

Space is limited. First come, first served! Also, free, all-day parking is available at the lot located across from the library on Oak and Center streets.
