Genealogy Workshop:
Genealogy Workshop: What DNA Can Tell You About Your Roots
Troke Branch Library

Saturday, Oct. 20, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The world of science has opened up new ways to explore your family's history through DNA testing. Some of those tests can uncover deep heritage from thousands of years ago, long before any paper trails existed. One DNA test in particular can help you identify ancestors from up to seven generations in your past through distant cousins with whom you share genetic matches. This session will discuss what tests are available for use in genealogy, and what they can reveal to you about your family history.

After the presentation, members of the San Joaquin Genealogical Society will be available for individual help.  Feel free to bring your own laptop or use one of ours.

Space is limited! Those interested in attending this workshop must sign-up at the Troke Branch Library Information Desk or call (209) 937-8221.
