The Frankfort Community Public Library Homework Help service is back with regular math tutoring sessions. This free program, located in the Library Teen Department, is available to middle and high school students on Mondays from 6–7 p.m. beginning Oct. 2, 2023. Parents and students are encouraged to contact Rachel Milburn, at rmilburn@myfcpl.org or (765) 654-8746 ext. 1117, or drop in on Monday evenings for assistance.
Local educator Jennifer Fitch will lead the program, leveraging her experience teaching math at both Clinton Prairie Schools and Purdue University. Fitch said she is excited to start and is open to helping anyone who needs it.

MORE SERVICES AVAILABLE IN THE TEEN AREA

The Library also offers help with other studies. For assistance with papers or essays, students can send rough drafts and assignment descriptions to homework@myfcpl.org. Qualified staff will review for grammar or punctuation errors and schedule time with students to discuss improvements. Teachers recommending Library writing services may send book lists via email so appropriate materials are available. Students working on research can set up one-on-one appointments to learn about finding valid sources and information. Additionally, the Homework Corner, also located in the Teen Department, is stocked with school supplies and advanced calculators; and laptops and iPads can be checked out at the Teen Desk for in-library use. Finally, many free research tools are available anytime at myfcpl.org/online. The Library is always looking for experts to add to our list of tutors. Those wishing to volunteer can find applications at www.myfcpl.org. For more information, contact Rachel Milburn at rmilburn@myfcpl.org or (765) 654-8746 ext. 1117.
