“Let’s Make a Book – A Community Art Project for All Ages” Reception

Saturday, Jun. 24, 11 a.m.

The Frankfort Community Public Library is hosting a reception Saturday, June 24 at 11:00 a.m. for our “Let’s Make a Book – A Community Art Project for All Ages” grant project. Join us as we reveal the results of our book, The Frankfort Foul-up.  Amaris Orozco, our Hubbard Artist-in-residence, will be here to answer questions on the procedure for developing the book.

Orozco’s residency began earlier this year when she began leading monthly classes for all ages. Aspiring writers, illustrators, and Frankfort enthusiasts were all invited to join. In the classes, participants created a children’s book, inspired by Clinton County, from start to finish.

An art exhibit in the Anna & Harlan Hubbard Gallery concludes Orozo’s residency. This exhibit showcases the children’s book created by community members and will be open to the public through July.

Activities are made possible by The Arts Federation and the Indiana Arts Commission, which receives support from the State of Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Sponsored by by The Arts Federation and the Indiana Arts Commission.
