The Clinton County Youth Theatre is excited to announce that their next show will be Disney’s Moana JR. In anticipation of the musical, the Frankfort Community Public Library is holding two audition workshop opportunities. The workshops are on Saturday, March 4 and 5, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in Skanta Theatre. The event is free and open to Clinton County youth ages 5-18. Space is limited and registration is required, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible. Attendees can expect to learn how to prepare for the auditions, what the director is looking for, and how the audition process will work. Each audition workshop is single event so attendees do not need to sign up for both. Actors will be able to audition at the workshop. To prepare for the workshops attendees may pick up audition packets at the Teen Desk in the FCPL Teen Department. Please bring a sack lunch, snacks and water. If you are unable to attend auditions and would like to audition please email ccyt@myfcpl.org.
Productions like Moana Jr. and Sideways Stories are worthwhile for everyone in our community and expensive to conduct. Sponsorships from local businesses are what make Clinton County Youth Theatre possible. Since our last production included four sold-out performances, sponsors with CCYT benefit from a huge audience exposed to their business. CCYT’s 2023 Executive Producer Gem City Junction, and the Friends of the Frankfort Community Public Library support Sideways Stories of Wayside School and Moana Jr. However, we still need more support to make our show happen. This year, sponsors may choose from all-new tiers that come with show merchandise and exposure on CCYT and Frankfort Community Public Library social media.
