You asked for it, and we listened! Grace Gouveia will be back at the Frankfort Library to teach us how to make ephemera for your journal or scrapbooking project, and we have extended the classtime! This is a free class, but seating is limited and registration is required. Please email susie@myfcpl.org with any questions.

Tags, Pockets, Belly-bands & Tuckspots—Do you wonder what to do with that junk mail—political, medical—or those envelopes you receive you mail in? Add some old book pages, scrapbook paper, stickers, lace, maybe some digitals AND come see for yourself!

Do you scrapbook or journal?--Then, you might be familiar with pockets and tags. But, as journal makers, though, all of these items increase the area available for writing and collecting/storing ephemera. If you’re interested in journal making or have made a journal with us in our first class, come in to explore the ways in which we can make or combine one or more of these things. Learn to make several types of plain tags, tags with hidden pockets, and hid tags in various types of pockets. We will also make a belly-band or two, as ornate or plain as you would like them to be—and your belly-band could have a pocket or two for more tags.

While you don’t need anything for the class, bring any rulers, pencils, glues, etc. that you like to use, if you have scrapbooked or journaled before. AND, as early mentioned, you might want to bring some used envelopes, any scrapbook paper you might have, old book pages, music paper, etc. We will have more for you to build on in class.
