It is time for our first live #ProjectLit Book Club! The discussion will be held Thurs., Sept. 7 at 5:30 p.m. Pizza and snacks will be served, so no need to eat dinner before arriving. We will be discussing the book, All American Boys by Brendan Kiely and Jason Reynolds. Books are available for pick up at the Teen Desk. Please let Rachel know, rmilburn@myfcpl.org, if you would like a copy dropped off at your school.
"Rashad is absent again today.
That's the sidewalk graffiti that started it all..."
Everyone is talking about it, the same incident, which both Rashad & Quinn witnessed. One walked away. One went to the hospital. All American Boys shares the same story from two perspectives, "Ultimately, the two narratives weave back together, in the moment in which the two boys, now changed, can actually see each other - the first step for healing and understanding" (www.brendankiely.com). Teen Department Staff will live Tweet and comment on Discord while reading the book throughout the month of August-September. To follow along follow FCPL Teens on Twitter (@projectlitFCPL) or Discord (https://discord.gg/hrPccPjH).
