or call 765-249-2303.

This program is for those just starting to research their German ancestors as well as those who need help tracing their ancestors in the homeland.  The class will consist of a brief summary of German history and geography, explaining how historical events affect the genealogist’s research today.  It will also include an overview of German immigration to the United States and suggestions for overcoming common pitfalls in German genealogical research.

Kent Robinson has served as both the Indiana chapter president and national president of Palatines to America and has taken German research courses at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research and the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy.  He has conducted research at numerous facilities in the United States as well as various archives in Germany. Kent enjoys sharing what he has learned and assisting others in their attempt to further their own German research.  A syllabus that Kent has created to help those researching their German ancestry will be available for $20 at the workshop.
