Astronomy for homeschoolers teaches children ages 9 & up earth space science guided by our Mass Science and Technology Curriculum Framework. Learn about the sun and the planets in our solar system: gravity, size, locations, qualities of inhabitable planets. Hands-on activities include each child making an accurate planet piñata. Please register.Rick Costello is an amateur astronomer and educator who has always been fascinated by our universe. He has presented three astronomy programs at Mason Library (& other libraries in the area) including telescope viewing and lecture. He has worked with schools for 20 years, six years at the Children’s Museum in West Hartford, CT, and other groups.
