Over 5.5 Million people in the United States suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. This informative and entertaining talk will provide an overview of Alzheimer’s disease.

A brief overview of current research and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. All attendees will have an opportunity to understand the Portable Mini-Mental Examination, a tool for measuring mental status.

Our speaker, William Zengerle, is a certified dementia care practitioner and licensed nursing home administrator. With over 30 years as a healthcare professional, he has lectured extensively to the public and healthcare professionals on various geriatric focused topics including Alzheimer’s and other dementias, heart disease, and diabetes. As a licensed nursing home administrator, Mr. Zengerle has also founded eight medical day care facilities, most recently Matawan Adult Day Care. William has also served as the administrator for several skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
