Are you thinking about participating in this year’s National Novel Writing
Month challenge in November? In case you didn’t know, this organization helps writers of all
ages and levels complete their novels by attempting to complete a 50,000 word manuscript.

This workshop, Jumpstart Your Writing, is going to get you energized for the challenge. Local
writer Pam Hertzog will facilitate an interactive workshop including instructional time and free
writers. Topics covered will include: writing a scene, the hero’s journey, descriptive writing,
planning your writing, writer’s block, and writing dialogue. Please bring paper, a writing utensil,
and water.
