Creative Aging: A Story Montage
Crown Point Community Library
Friday, Aug. 30, 10 a.m.
With the help of grant funding from the Indiana Arts Commission, adults 55 or better are invited to join Indiana artist Jennifer Weinert for a workshop on telling your story through creative arts. Participants will be inspired to create a unique multi-medium work of art to express a personal experience, while they learn about and engage in the creative process through a variety of collage and assemblage techniques that inform their unique final montage piece.
The program is six sessions, meeting weekly for two-hour time frames allowing space for a group check-in, introduction to technique, activity, a break, and sharing observations. There is an invitation for the participants to display their work at a culminating event.
This program will meet Fridays from August 23 until September 27. Registration is required and is for all 6 sessions.
