Presented by Wendy Tremper-Wollerton. Wendy's background in horticulture includes attending classes at the Cary Institute  and working at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County as the lab technician identifying plant, insect and disease samples.  Wendy is a former Town of Clinton Resident who loved to garden, but spent numerous hours weekly mowing lawns on her property. In searching to downsize, a goal of Wendy's was to limit lawn mowing to under 1 hour!

Come learn the history of how Americans went from gardens and livestock areas at their homes to mega-lawns! The presentation will teach you about  various plant selection choices to help eliminate lawn areas. You will also receive information to take home of suggested books from MHLS catalog and information on plant selections.
