Speech Club for 2nd to 5th Graders

Wednesday, Jul. 19, 4:30pm
This Club is to help students learn to make and practice short speeches.  Club members will be given tips and tricks that will help them do just that.  We are hoping this will build member confidence and prepare them for making speeches at school and elswhere in the future.  The maximum speeches are 2nd graders 2 minutes, 3rd graders 3 minutes, 4th graders 4 minutes, and 5th graders 5 minutes.  The current schedule is as follows with future club meetings to be decided.  We hope you can join us at 4:00pm.
Please pick one topic for each July date to speak on for at least ONE FULL MINUTE. Topics to choose from are:  
1.If I could build a statue to honor someone it would be for _______________. Why?  The statue would be of _______________.
2. I go to ____________school, am in the ____ grade.  My favorite subject is ____________.  Why?  I want to be a ____________ when I grow up.  Why?  
3.  My favorite board game is __________.  Why?  I play it with _____________,  My favorite move in the game is _____________.
4.  If I lived in an historical period in the past it would be _____________.  Why?  What is your favorite thing about that time period?  what types of things did people do in that time period?
