This class builds upon what was learned in the Basic Excel class. Topics to be covered include working with basic functions, sorting data, filtering data and formatting tables.
Basic Intro to Excel class is required.

This is a hands-on introduction to the Windows operating system using Windows XP.  Topics covered include the computer desktop, icons, taskbar and start button. We will learn how to open a software program, create a file and a folder. Basic mouse & keyboarding skills required.

What is Scanning and how do I do it? The flatbed scanner is very much like a copy machine, to the extent that it has a glass plate under a lid, and a moving light that scans across under it. We can scan pictures, documents, etc. and make them digital.
Bring a picture you would like to scan.

This class will focus more on using the Picasa software. We will learn how to crop, make a collage, change color pictures to black and white, straighten, lighten, darken, as well as fix red eyes in your digital photos.

Hung Vin Nguyen was a pilot in the South Vietnamese Air Force during the war. Please join him for this free program in the Madden Auditorium and he recounts his participation as a pilot and the effect of the war on the native population.
