LIBRARY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS

Teen volunteers will be at the library to read with elementary school children. Ideal for children who need to improve their reading skills.  

All Ages. Explore math concepts and problem-solving with fun and engaging games and puzzles. 

Grades 1, 2, and 3. Early readers can improve their reading fluency and comprehension by participating in round-robin reading and discussion followed by a fun craft. 

Teen volunteers will be here to help students in Grades K-8 with their homework questions. Mondays 5-7pm. Drop-in.

This half-hour program for children ages 0-2  incorporates "Mother Goose on the Loose" guidelines to provide a time "just for babies". Focus is on literacy building blocks for baby's development through sharing picturebooks, board books, fingerplays, rhythm/rhyme, b...read more

Play time with a changing variety of toys for our yougest patrons after storytime.   This will last half an hour.  Patrons attending  Tuesday storytime are invited to participate.

Ages 2-12. Be creative! Build whatever you can imagine with fun lego or duplo designs and put it on display in the library! All blocks provided.

Ages 10-18. Visit our collaborative work space for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools. Please join us for this library staff led preschool storytime for children ages 2-5 years.  This engaging program includes stories, rhymes, music and fun that help build a love of reading and develop early literacy skills.    It all begins at 10:30am. 

During Toddler Toy Time share 30 minutes of impromptu playtime with your 2-5 year old with blocks, puppets and more. 

Adults: Get help with your device and computer skills.

Ages 7 and older. Join us and learn to create a mini basket with yarn and a pre-made form! No experience is needed and you will leave with a wonderful handmade basket. All materials are included. First come first serve. 

Adults: Pratice your English skill in a comfortable setting.

Grades 4-8. Volunteers from the non-profit Impactt Kids will be here to introduce young learners to the exciting world of computer science in a fun and engaging way during bi-weekly meetings on Sundays at 12:00pm. By using simple block coding platforms, participants will explore fundamenta...read more
