SHOCKING REPORT: Fake News Webinar Affects Millions and You Too!
Online Webinar
Thursday, Oct. 19, 1:30PM-2:00PM

Did President Obama try to run for a third term? Did Pope Francis endorse Donald Trump for president? Will Bill Gates send you money if you share his Facebook post? Did the creator of Breaking Bad confirm the series will return for a sixth season? Is Facebook implementing user fees?

The answer to all of these questions is: No! These are all examples of fake news. Fake news is nothing new; but thanks to things like social media, its presence has increased exponentially in recent years. Fake news has become a very real problem.

Can you identify fake news? Are you able to help others discern between fiction and fact? Join us to sharpen your information literacy skills! This webinar will cover the rise and history of fake news, ways to identify and categorize it, and the methods to prevent it.

If registration is full please email in order to receive the recording of the webinar.
