Ready to become a serpent scientist? Herpetologist Jesse Rothacker will introduce you to 15 live snakes, lizards, turtles, and crocs from around the world, and plug you in to a cutting-edge citizen science program! Since 2013, the PARS project has utilized citizen field reports to collect thousands of new records about the state's reptile and amphibian populations. If you have a camera, a computer, and love a good nature walk, Jesse will teach you how your family can get involved, too!

Edible Insects

Angry over why you aren’t working?  Can’t understand why you aren’t getting interviews or job offers?  Frustrated because employers won’t talk with you?  Feeling anxious about how to do your job search?  Don’t know where to turn to get answers?  Learn how to develop the habit of positive self-talk and increase your motivation to conduct an effective job search.

The library, in partnership with Career Link, will offer career planning workshops every third Thursday of the month at 2:00pm.  Open to job seekers of all ages.
