Reach for the moon and probe the wonders of space as Mad Science takes us on a voyage of discovery.  We'll travel 239,88 miles above the Earth as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of landing on the moon!  Mad Science shows are educational, interactive, and always a great time -- be sure to join us!

Stories in the Park

Mrs. Jenny returns to Kiwanis Village Park today!  Join us for an engaging, skill-building, and participatory Story Time!  Bring a blanket to sit on, snacks, and bug repellant.  After the stories, plan on staying and playing in the park!  In case of inclement weather we will meet in the library - check our Facebook page for updates!  No registration required so invite some friends to join us!

Gemini Book Club for

The Gemini Book Club will discuss Archie Takes Flight by Wendy Mass.  On "Take Your Kid to Work day," Archie discovers that his father drives a space taxi that shuttles aliens from one area of the universe to another!  After our discussion we will enjoy fun activities and a delicious snack. Please read the book before we meet!

Wow!  The Creepy, Crawly Zoo will be visiting the Pewaukee Public Library today!  Tony Gustin, the "bug whisperer" will bring a bunch of his creepy, crawling friends to the library and we will learn just how cool insects and arachnids really are!  This is a great program for kids with an interest in science and the natural world.  The program starts promptly at 1:00, there is no preregistration but attendance will be limited to fire code.  Sponsored by Pewaukee Kiwanis and the Friends of the Pewaukee Public Library.

Build It!

Like to build?  Love to get creative with your hands?  Build It is a great event for kids who love to create and their adults who know that building and creating grows all sorts of skills: creativity, hand-eye coordination, spatial skills, and even math abilities.  And it is SO MUCH FUN!

Our last Family Fun Night show of the summer is a very special one!  Storyteller Tracy Chipman, from the far north woods of Wisconsin, will be in town.  Tracy will delight and entertain young and old with her wonderful stories.  If you haven't heard a professional storyteller like Tracy before, you are in for a treat!  And, speaking of treats, we will have some special snacks to celebrate another wonderful summer.

Voyager Book Club fo

We will discuss The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger.  Sixth grader Tommy and his friends describe their interactions with a paper finger puppet of Yoda, worn by their weird classmate Dwight, as they try to figure out if the puppet can really predict the future.  Following a spirited discussion, we will enjoy some fun activities and a yummy snack.  Please read the book before we meet!

And Now For Somethin

Have you ever been amazed by a juggler?  Juggling looks hard but you can learn how to do it yourself!  The best part is, once you get the basic idea you can practice at home or anywhere you can find three things (scarves, bean bags, oranges, dirty socks...) laying around!  Our very own Mrs. Andrea will teach us how to juggle.  Lessons start at 1:00 and 2:00, please arrive promptly at one of those times.  After you learn how to juggle, you can make your very own set of non-roll juggling balls to practice with. 
Participants should be ready to listen and follow directions.  Allergy alert: latex balloons.   Sponsored by Friends of the Pewaukee Public Library and The Pewaukee Kiwanis.
