Library Babies

A short class with music, lap bounces, action rhymes, stoires, and fun.  A playtime after the stories gives adults time to share and chat.

Saturday Crafternoon

Stop in and flex your creative muscles with Saturday Crafternoons, hosted by the amazing Mrs. Z!  We will have an engaging craft project for children to do using a variety of art materials.  This program is best for children in kindergarten and older.  No registration is required, children 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.  
DIY Gingerbread Hous

Get into the holiday spirit by making your own "gingerbread" house out of graham crackers, frosting, and candy.

For teens and tweens, grades 5-12.  Registration is required so that we can be sure to have enough supplies.  Participants do not necessarily need to arrive right at 3:00.  All supplies will be cleaned up promptly at 4:30; please allow yourself at least 20 minutes to work on your project.

Lego Club is a monthly after school program for grades 3 - 5 that runs October through May.  Choose from TEAM RED (meets the 1st Wednesday of the month) or TEAM BLUE (meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month).  Learn fun facts about the LEGO Company, build amazing models, and display them in the library.  Registration is required and begins on September 10th.  When you register, you are signing up for the entire October through May series.  Please let us know if your child will be absent from a meeting.  If you find that your child will need to drop out of the club, please contact us so we can take someone off the waiting list!  Thank you!  Call 262-691-5670 ext. 932 or email jwhalen@pewaukee.lib.wi.us.

Manga & anime fans, listen up!  This club is for otaku just like you.

The Manga & Anime Club will meet on the first and third Thursday of every month during the school year.  At the first meeting of each month we will do some sort of activity (think games, crafts, snacks, etc).  At the second meeting we will watch anime.

This club is intended for Teens in grades 7-12.  Advance registration is not required, but if you sign up here on the calendar of events you can set yourself up to get a reminder via text or email so that you don't miss a meeting.

Did you know you can make a super cute stuffed friend from an old glove?  Join Mrs. Z. for a fun holiday break craft project.  A little creativity, sewing, and hot glue can turn an ordinary glove into a fun friend!  This program is for kids in grades 4 and up and does require pre-registration and attendance is limited. Registration begins on December 7.  If you register and then find you will not be able to attend, please contact the Youth Services Department at 262-691-5670 ext. 932 so we can give someone else your space. 
If you have any single knit gloves, bring them along!

Early Learning Progr
Monday, Jan. 7

Registration for winter 2019 early literacy programs begins today!  On the calendar, choose the class day and time you wish to attend and register.  When you sign up you are registered for the entire 5 class session.  Our programs are popular so register your child for one Preschool Storytime/Toddler Storytime/Library Babies class only.  If you realize you will not be able to attend, please call the library so we can cancel your registration!  You can also attend the Friday Skills Lab class and our Messy Mondays art program on selected Mondays.  Siblings are allowed to attend the programs.  Thank you!
