We will see how the sun leaves its mark on Nature Print sun sensitive paper and make a model of the sun’s position during the summer solstice.
We will also paint solar system pictures with heat sensitive color changing paint!

Bring your mother/father, daughter/son, etc. to this do-it-yourself project (must have at least one adult), where staff will be available for instruction and assistance. Supplies will allow for one box per 'group' (whoever you decide to bring with you). Cost is $10 per box. Space is limited and registration/payment are required by Saturday, June 15 to attend.

Join us on Saturday, June 22nd at 3:00 for a few hours of friendly video gaming competition, or board games.  Registration is required to attend and snacks and drinks will be provided.  This program is for independent young adults on the Autism Spectrum.

Weekly Prize drawing…
For each Fiction, Non-Fiction, Magazine, e-book, Audio Book or audio e-book that you read/listen to, you will receive a ticket to enter the 8 weekly prize drawings. (Held each Monday morning)…including our Grand Prize Drawing on July 29th.

Preschoolers age 2-5 will also be able to get in on the Summer Reading fun by participating in 'A Universe of Stories' Bingo! 

They will receive a bingo sheet with easy activities to complete.  When five activities in a row are completed, they can go to the library to pick up a prize.  Once they have completed all the activities on the sheet, they will receive a book and be entered into the grand prize drawing.

School age children entering grades K-5 are invited to explore 'A Universe of Stories' at the Rensselaer Library's Summer Reading Program with registration starting the week of June 3rd.  Register online or at the library. Reading packets may be picked up at the library after June 3rd.
