TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.  Today we'll focus on innovations in science and technology --all around the world.   The links for the talks we will be showing are listed below.

Parents and students, are you ready for the annual onslaught of worksheets, artwork, newsletters and other information headed your way when school starts?  Do you have a good system in place for staying on top of school events, deadlines, and extra-curricular activities?  How about an organized homework area that helps your kids stay focused on assignments?  Sara Skillen of SkillSet Organizing will offer advice and tips for all of the above and more with her program Back to School: Organizing for Parental Sanity on Tuesday, August 5 at 6:30 pm.
