  • Rhymes & Songs
  • Age-appropriate early literacy activities
  • Easy book-themed crafts
  • A light snack
  • All designed to offer your preschooler a fun library experience! 
** We encourage parent involvement and require all adult caregivers to remain in the room during storytime.
** Please limit conversations with other adults, and silence cell phones during storytime.
** Preschoolers are encouraged to sit, stand and practice self-control for longer periods of time than toddlers.

Baby and Me, featuring Miss Brandy,  is a program designed for ages Birth-18 months to promote early literacy in infants.  This program focuses on nursery rhymes and movement rather than books, is geared toward infants, and will be no longer than 25 minutes.  Parents and caregivers should be prepared to be actively involved in this story time.

If you love Blues music, you will love Johnny Riley's style. He will be here to explain many different styles of Blues from various parts of the country. Afterward, he will give a short concert in order to give examples of those styles. Registration for this event is not required, but is offered for reminder texts/emails.

CENTRAL - Children ages Birth -6 years old and their adult caregiver are invited to our annual "Trick-or-Treat Storytime & Costume Parade"!  Wear your 'not too scary' costume and be ready to trick-or-treat the library staff during this special storytime.  Easy crafts and lite refreshments will be included.
Parents may bring a bag of individually wrapped candies for the trick-or-treat costume parade, if they choose to do so.

CENTRAL - All kids ages 9 - 12 years old are invited to join us for our Preteen book group!  We meet the first Thursday of the month to discuss a book of your choice - fiction or non-fiction.  You do not have to be finished reading your book to participate - come anyway!  We'd love to hear about what you've been reading!
An adult caregiver 18 years or older must accompany the preteen into the library and remain in the Children's Department during this time.
