Bring your own work-in-progress and supplies and join us in the first floor small meeting room at the Central Library 104 I 45 N Conroe TX.   • Rhymes & Songs
  • Age-appropriate early literacy activities
  • Easy book-themed or literacy-related crafts
  • A light snack
  • All designed to offer your preschooler a fun library experience! 
** We encourage parent involvement and require all adult caregivers to remain in the room during storytime.
** Please limit conversations with other adults, and silence cell phones during storytime.
** Preschoolers are encouraged to sit, stand and practice self-control for longer periods of time than toddlers.

Baby and Me, featuring Miss Brandy,  is a program designed for ages Birth-18 months to promote early literacy in infants.  This program focuses on nursery rhymes and movement rather than books, is geared toward infants, and will be no longer than 25 minutes.  Parents and caregivers should be prepared to be actively involved in this story time.

Toddler Storytime, featuring Miss Brandy,  is a program designed for ages 18 mos - 3 yrs of age.  Young Patrons will enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, movement activities, and lots of music, while learning their library manners!  This program is intended to prepare children for the Preschool Storytime soon after reaching 3 years of age.  Enjoy a good breakfast and join us for the activities and fun!

Central - Families with children of all ages are invited to learn about new books, play board games and other family activities, and make an easy craft.

Practice your Spanish in a relaxed setting.  Basic conversational Spanish required for participation.  Ages 18 and up.  No sign up needed. 
CENTRAL - Day of the
Saturday, Apr. 28, 12:00 - 3:00
Join us for an ice cream treat while we color fun pages with colored pencils and crayons. We are celebrating Dia del Ninos or Day of the Child/Children. This day recognizes children, pays homage to their importance in society, and endorses their well being.  This is a come and go event. If you have your own coloring items please feel free to bring them. This is for all ages. A free book for each child will be given out. Donated by the Library Friends of Conroe. Ice cream will be vanilla and chocolate only.

Celebre el Día del Niño con nosotros.  En este día rendimos homenaje a los niños, reconocemos su importancia en la sociedad y promovemos su bienestar.  Venga a visitarnos y a tomar un helado mientras colorea diferentes dibujos.

Central - All kids ages 9-12 years old are invited to join us for our preteen book club in our Children's Activity Room.  We meet once every month to discuss our favorite books.  A light snack and fun activity included!  (Parents or other adult caregivers are asked to remain in the Children's Department while your preteen is participating in the book club.)

Learn the basic concepts to use a computer, to practice the necessary skills to create a document, and navigate the internet.  Six classes only.  First Saturdays of the month, from 10-11:30 in the computer lab.  JANUARY CLASS CANCELLED The lab runs until May 5th, 2018 The class is in Spanish and for adults only.
