Ages 2 years old and younger. 10 minute program of songs, rhymes, and movement for the very young followed by a 20 minute play time.

An introduction computer class for children.  Classes will include keyboarding, intorduction to applications and computer operation.  Registration is required, first come first served.  Limited space, Sign-up in person at the Reference Desk.  Age requirements for this class is 7 - 12 years. Class will be conducted for three sessions, May 8, 15 and 22, on  Tuesday from, 2:00 - 3:00 PM.

Ages 6 - 8 years old. Join us around the "campfire" as we explore the indoors with s'mores, fishing, and more.

Ages 2 to 5 years old. 35 minute program that includes stories, songs, and crafts.

Get your kids moving and grooving during our Music and Movement program. Children age 2 years and older sing, make music, dance, and move using simple instruments, scarves, ribbons, parachutes, and more. Caregivers should attend and participate with their children. This program takes place in the library's large meeting room. For more information, please call the children's desk at 936-442-7727 ext 6363.

Do you write fiction, poetry, short stories, non-fiction or maybe even fan fiction?  If this sounds like you, stop by! Join other preteen writers (ages 9 – 12 years old) every fourth Wednesday of the month to write, share and support each other through the creative process. Snacks will be provided.

Tullis - Play-Learn-

Please join us as we present the grand opening of “Play-Learn-Grow,” R.B. Tullis Library’s very own educational family-fun center! The ceremony will begin at 10:00am and continue through 11:00am. Refreshments will be served during that period. Educational toys, playthings, puzzles, and baby board books will be available to use in the children’s department. We aim to encourage early childhood development, literacy, and parent education & engagement through many modes of play. This is a permanent feature in the library we guarantee will educate—and entertain—families for years to come! Special thanks to the Friends of the R.B. Tullis Library for their generous support and donations.

Play-Learn-Grow:  A Family Place Library weekly event.

Join us for this come-and-go program that encourages  play with educational toys and board books. Spend time together, play in a play group atmosphere, make friends and visit with other parents.

Ages 5 and under. Come-and-go program that encourages independent toddler play and  socialization with educational toys and board books. 

 
Tullis - FIRST DAY O

Today is the first day of the summer reading program! Children can sign-up from 11am until the library closes at 9pm. The last day to turn in your completed log is Saturday, July 14. For more information, please call 281-577-8968.

Participants aged 12 and under can sign up and receive a reading log. Participants 6 & under can choose to fill out an early literacy log instead of the reading log.

Log Your Reading

Keep track of what you read on your log! To complete the reading log, you must read 25 HOURS. To complete the early literacy log, participants must complete ALL of the activities!

Earn Prizes

Prizes are given to children upon completion of their reading log. Children that complete and turn in reading logs receive a book bag with prizes and a certificate, while supplies last. Redeem your reading logs for prizes by Saturday, July 14th.

You're invited to a free show put on by a special presenter! This week, Lucas Miller (The Singing Zoologist) will lead a program that focuses on wildlife and their habits through original songs, movement, and audience participation.
