Baby & Me Storytime focuses on nursery rhymes and movement and is geared toward infants up to age 18 months. Parents and caregivers should be prepared to be actively involved in this storytime. Each Baby & Me Storytime is about 20 minutes long and concludes with time for babies to explore books and toys. Baby & Me Storytime is held in the Large Meeting Room, and tickets are not required.

Family Storytime is a 30 minute program for children ages 3 - 5 years old. This program involves reading books, flannel board stories, finger plays, songs, dancing and activities.

Central Library - All children ages 3-6 years old and their adult caregiver are invited to join us on Wednesdays for:
  • Books & Stories
  • Rhymes & Songs
  • Age-appropriate early literacy activities
  • Easy book-themed crafts
  • A light snack
  • All designed to offer your preschooler a fun library experience! 
** We encourage parent involvement and require all adult caregivers to remain in the room during storytime.
** Please limit conversations with other adults, and silence cell phones during storytime.
** Preschoolers are encouraged to sit, stand and practice self-control for longer periods of time than toddlers.

This story program is for children of all ages (birth - age 3) and a caregiver with an emphasis on stories and activities for toddlers. This program emphasizes early literacy skills and is a great way to meet other families with young children.

Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers join us at 10:30am for a Fire Department Storytime. You can meet some of our local firefighters, take pictures and hop up on a fire truck. We will also have crafts and activies available  at 10:30am.

Children and their caregivers can socialize and play together during this free-play period. Join us for fun with interactive toys and sensory activities! For ages 0 - 5 years old. 
Tullis - Baby & Me T

A 20-minute program that engages caregivers and babies through songs, nursery rhymes, fingerplays, an interactive story. RECOMMENDED AGES: BIRTH-18 MO.  Older siblings and children are welcome and encouraged to bring their own doll, teddy, or even action figure so they can participate in the lapsit activities. This program is for children 4 and up. ** Children may attend story club by themselves, but a parent or guardian must remain in the library during the program. Children are introduced to new authors and illustrators and develops, literacy skills, listening, thinking, participation and social skills.

Tullis - Girls Who C

Using the book, Girls Who Code, learn the basics of computer coding.  The program is designed for girls but is open to boys as well.  Each week the content builds on previous concepts.  Registration is limited to 14 participants, so you will need to register for the program.  The program will repeat in the spring.
This program is for boys and girls in grades 6-12 only.  A parent or legal guardian must remain in the library with any child under the age of 13 during the program.

This program is full but watch for information in December/January about the Spring Club.
Tullis - Coloring Cl
Wednesday, Oct. 17, 4:30 PM-5:00 PM

Young artists and their caregivers can color the stress away each month with coloring pages ranging from basic to intricate using crayons, colored pencils, and markers. RECOMMENDED AGES: 3 YR-12 YR.

Baby and Me, featuring Miss Brandy,  is a program designed for ages Birth-18 months to promote early literacy in infants.  This program focuses on nursery rhymes and movement rather than books, is geared toward infants, and will be no longer than 25 minutes.  Parents and caregivers should be prepared to be actively involved in this story time.

This after-school program provides preteens with a place to hang out with their friends while performing fun activities and games.

Get into the Halloween spirit with a fun craft!

Come-and-go program offering different activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Children must accompanied by an adult at all times.

 

 

Monday, Oct. 22, 9:15AM & 10:00AM

Toddler Storytime introduces children to books with simple language and predictable plots. This program also introduces toddlers to storytime manners by helping them build listening skills and practice the self-control needed to be a good audience. Toddler Time is most appropriate for children that are not yet ready to sit for long periods of time and listen to more complex stories (about 18 months to 3 years). Each Toddler Time is about 20 minutes long and concludes with a coloring activity. THis program is held in the Large Meeting Room, and does not require tickets.
