Local author and Piedmont Laureate John Claude Bemis will lead a conversation with four of the Triangle's most exciting children's book writers: Clay Carmichael, Frances O'Roark Dowell, Kelly Starling Lyons, and Cate Tiernan. The authors will share stories about why they became writers, what books have inspired them, and offer suggestions for writers (both young and young at heart). Come get ideas for beach reading or your summer writing project!
