Tuesday story-times will be based on popular children’s movies this summer. Join us every Tuesday morning, from 10:30-11:15 a.m. as we read stories and make crafts centered around a theme. Great for ages 5-10! Free and open to the public. Runs June 11th- July 30th. June 11th: "Despicable Me," June 18th: "Alice in Wonderland," June 25th: "Aladdin," July 2nd: "Dumbo," July 9th: "Peter Pan," July 16th: "Frozen," July 23rd: "Cars," July 30th: "Lego Movie."

Make Your Summer Sizzle with STEM-tastic, Hands-On, FUN Science! Are you interested in Science or think that being a Scientist sounds like a fun career? Young scientists will experience bridge building, explore electricity by making their own flashlight, find your own way through a

hexbug maze and play exciting minute to win it science games. 4-H is waiting to start this free science adventure with you! Max of 25 youth.

Mad Science will put on an exciting show for your summer readers! Kids get thrilled by science while experiencing the world of sound and much more! Kids get tuned-in to learning with exciting demonstrations and experiments including a surprisingly loud Dinosaur-in-a-Can, the glowing Electric Pickle, and kid-created Thunder Storm!

The Central Illinois Plastic Modellers Club meets every Monday night (except the 1st of the month) from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the Sherman Public Library District. The group welcomes anyone with an enthusiasm for plastic modelling. Bring a project you're working on and spend time with like minded hobbyists.

“Showtime at Your Library” Summer Reading Magic Show

Presented by Richard Landry and Snowball

Thursday, August 1st 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sherman United Methodist Church

Free and open to the public!

Wonder and sidesplitting laughter WILL BE MUSIC TO YOUR EARS when volunteers join Richard on stage for wacky, rollicking routines throughout the program. Richard uses puppetry, comedy magic, balloon twisting and awesome audience participation to share with kids that through reading comes adventure, fun, thrills, creativity and imagination.
