Documentary Film: Alive Inside: A Story of Music and Memory facilitated by Author Bobbi Carducci

In Alive Inside, filmmaker Michael Rossato-Bennett chronicles the astonishing experiences of individuals around the country who have been revitalized through the simple experience of listening to music. Included are interviews with renowned neurologist Oliver Sacks (Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain) and musician Bobby McFerrin. An uplifting cinematic exploration of music and the mind, the inspirational and emotional story of Alive Inside left audiences humming, clapping and cheering at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award.
Bobbi Carducci, author of The Imperfect Caregiver, cared for her father-in-law for seven years and discovered that music helped calm him and sparked moments of clarity.

Live Music: Michael DeLalla

A family-friendly, multi-cultural, finger-style guitar presentation exploring musical traditions worldwide.

For almost 30 years, Michael DeLalla has created solo guitar compositions and arrangements by gathering traditional tunes from around the world and adding his classical training with a hint of jazz, Celtic and folk styling. He plays both the classical 12-string and steel-string acoustic guitar.
