Artist Ronnie Streichler is a mixed media artist working with materials such as wood, plastics, glass, piping, algae, aluminum, cardboard, drywall, composite decking (anything and everything discarded). She views trash as a thing of beauty that can be transformed into art. Ms. Streichler’s exhibit debuted at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, and has been shown at numerous other venues throughout New Jersey. Her jewelry, photographs, and art can be found in private collections around the world. Ms. Streichler designed the first community garden in Fort Lee and is the curator of The Holocaust Museum and Education Center in The New Synagogue of Fort Lee. Her menorah of automobile stampings resides in the Menorah Museum of Rochester, New York. The exhibit may be viewed during regular Library hours during September and October.
