Join us at the Batesville Middle School Commons for a thrilling ballet event as the Cincinnati Kinderballet presents "Thumbelina."  This free program starts at 11:00 am and is sponsored by the Friends of Batesville Memorial Public Library with support from the BMPL.  Light refreshments will be served.  Sign up at the library.

Island-pop band The Tides from Indianapolis will take the stage in Batesville's downtown parking lot to kick off the musical entertainment that is part of the annual Music and Arts Festival on Wednesday, June 19.  Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music starting at 8:00 pm.  Free to the public.

Our annual After Hours / Summerfest Concert at Batesville's Liberty Park features  Blair Carman & the Belleview Boys from Cincinnati, performing Honky Tonk - Rockabilly - Boogie Woogie - Piano Pumpin' - Rock 'n' Roll! Don't miss this exciting act that's free to the public in the park! 8:00 - 11:00 pm.

It's the library's annual After Hours Concert and Ice Cream Social! Celebrate the end of summer with us as we welcome a new band to the After Hours Concert stage...Harpeth Rising!
With a banjo and fiddle, you might think they're a traditional bluegrass band, but think again; cello and hand drums round out the group, creating a totally new sound. A little bit bluegrass, a little bit folk, a little bit classical and a whole lot of original, thier sound has been called "the future of original string music."

Our annual After Hours Concert at Liberty Park for Batesville's Apple Fest features the return of those shanty-singing pirates, Hogeye Navvy from Indianapolis. Join us for some rollicking good fun, starting at 3:00 pm  Free to the public.

Our October After Hours Concert at the library will be a relaxing evening of sound and song provided by Bloomington's Janiece Jaffe and Friends. You might hear voice, Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, drums, rattles, tuning forks, gongs and other instruments providing sounds that have been used in traditional healing practices among cultures throughout time. This free-to-the-public program starts at 7:00 pm.

Cello. Guitar. Fusion.  Their name, Montana Skies, is a metaphor for musical freedom, and they continue to follow their creative instincts far beyond traditional boundaries.  These award-winning musicians delve into music from Pink Floyd and Rush to Vivaldi and Bach, as well as their own originals that have been featured everywhere fro NPR to the Travel Channel.  Combining elements of classical technique, jazz improv and the power and energy of rock 'n' roll, Jonathan's guitar wizardry and Jenn's blazing electric cello combine to create a sound that is truly remarkable.  Join us at the library for this free-to-the-public concert, starting at 7:00 pm.
