Learn how to document your summer in photos using Instagram, one of the most popular online photo-sharing services. Summer Reading Celeb
Saturday, Jun. 3, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Design a day of fun at the Library! Practice for the Chalk Challenge on June 24 and decorate the library’s sidewalk. Visit the Kona Ice Truck from 2 to 3 pm. Have your face painted, take home a balloon animal, make bubbles, build a tower, create a fort and do the limbo. All Ages Welcome!

Sign & Sing Storytim

Join Communication Junction on the first & third Mondays of the month for rhymes, stories, bubbles, and to learn basic American Sign Language. Ages: Infants, Toddlers & Preschoolers

Lego Club
Monday, Jun. 5, 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Children will share their building skills in a small group setting. A sample project is presented, however, participants are encouraged to use their own creativity. Meets the first & third Mondays of the month. Ages: 6-12.

Lego Lounge - Monday

Legos aren’t just for kids! Come join us for Lego Lounge. Go low tech with our regular Lego kits or go high tech and delve into robotics with Lego Mindstorm. Practice for Derby Night (on June 19) by perfecting your car design. Ages: Adult
Join us for Monday Maker Meet Ups on Mondays at 6:30 pm this summer to unleash your creativity, sense of discovery and adventurous nature.

 

GEMS Girls Science C
Tuesday, Jun. 6, 3:30 - 5:00 pm

GEMS will go on an adventure with FIRST Robotics team 2481, the Roboteers, and get hands on experience with robotics and science experiments. Learn about the robot from students on the team and see it in action. Sponsored by the Morton AAUW. Grades: 4-7. Registration requested. 

Science Storytime
Wednesday, Jun. 7, 10:30 am

Science Storytime will incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical concepts for children entering kindergarten through second grade. Concepts will be presented through books, games, songs, and hands on activities. Parents (or caregivers) will actively participate with their child in this fun program. Grades K-2.

The Picture Book Show brings to life some of the latest and greatest in children’s literature. Enjoy a fast-paced mix of stories, puppets, and audience participation lovingly adapted from contemporary children’s picture books. Ages: Everyone!

Participate in Downtown Morton’s Annual Super Hero Day. Children can visit the library to take part in our Super Hero Academy. Teens can participate in a fun photo challenge and enter to win a prize.
