It's time to start thinking about spring cleaning! Learn some methods and techniques to bring the freshness of spring into your home...naturally! Say "good riddance" to harsh and toxic chemicals. Enjoy demos and free, take-home samples. Presented by Sue Grusy, former teacher and business owner of Grusy's Natural Solutions. Ages: Adult. Registration required.

April is National Poetry month. Stop in a create a magnetic poem on our boards. You can post a picture of your poem and tag us on Instagram! Grades: 7-12. Available any time the library is open.

Looking for your next great read? Look no further! MPL is launching a "book subscription" service. Ages: Adult (18 yrs and up). Registration required.
How it works:

1. Sign up for The Book Bag by registering here. Registration is open for one week at the beginning of each month, January thru April (space is limited!). Registration begins on the 1st day of the month and closes on the 7th.
2. A "Reader Profile" survey will be sent to your email so we can get to know your reading preferences.
3. We'll gather 2-3 titles from our shelves that we think you'll love based on your profile + we'll include a custom bookmark, a staff note, and a list of titles you might like via NoveList.
4. You'll get an email notification when your Book Bag is ready. Check out the books and take them home in our reusable bag. Return the books + the bag when you're finished and tell us what you thought!
Currently, The Book Bag service is only available to patrons ages 18+ with a valid Morton Library card, a valid email address, and must be able to pick up their bag from the Library.

What's the weather like today? Each session will feature a different kind of weather with a craft and a story. When you register, you are registering for all 5 sessions: Mar. 4, 11, 18, 25, and Apr. 1. Ages: 3-5. Registration required.

CANCELLED: Escape Ro
Saturday, Apr. 4
This program has been cancelled out of caution due to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Agents, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is one of utmost importance. Agent 813, codename "Bluesue," has gone rogue. She has stolen a list of all our active agents and is planning to sell the list at a private gala being held at the estate of the person known only as "The Cataloger." If this list makes it into the wrong hands, all of our agents will be exposed and in danger. We have procured invitations to the gala under assumed names. They will be waiting for you at the dead-drop, along with a debrief from the mission handler. Good luck!

Gather your group of 2-6 people and see if you can escape the room!  Ages: 13 yrs - Adult. Registration Required. The Escape Room is open April 4-18 (no Sundays).

Escape Room Guidelines:
-For a group of 2-6 players (6 people maximum per group)
-For ages 13 years old and up
-If anyone in the group is under 13 years old, there must be an adult present
-The room is not suitable for children under 6 years old
-Each group will have 45 minutes to solve the clues to escape the room
-Registration is required online or by phone (309-263-2200)
