Library Events

The Russell Memorial Library hosts a variety of free public programs, such as book talks, lectures, educational classes and workshops throughout the year. Most of our programs are made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Acushnet Public Library.
 

 

Using the Internet

Participants will learn basic techniques for using the Internet including browsing software basics, managing favorites and search engines tips.

 
Excel Basics
Wednesday, May. 7 ,1:00-2:30 PM
Participants will learn the tips and tricks of entering data into an Excel worksheet, and how to format cells and use AutoFill, AutoFit, and AutoSum.

 
Beginning Computers
Tuesday, May. 13 ,1:00-2:30 PM
Participants will learn basic computer terminology and techniques including
how to use a mouse and keyboard.

 
PowerPoint Basics
Wednesday, May. 28 ,10:00-11:30 AM
Participants will learn the basic tools of the PowerPoint window, creating and working with presentation slides.

 
Microsoft Word (Basic)
Thursday, Jun. 5 ,1:00-2:30 PM
Participants will learn the basics and practice using copy and paste, formatting text, and saving.

 
Microsoft Word (Intermediate)
Thursday, Jun. 12 ,1:00-2:30 PM
Participants will learn topics such as Drawing toolbar, Tables and Mail Merge.

 
Yahoo Email
Tuesday, Jun. 17 ,1:00-2:30 PM
 Participants will learn the basics of Email including how to setup a Yahoo Email account, opening, composing, and sending.
