Children will be required to register for a one hour time slot, as they navigate through hands-on & mind-blowing experiments in order to explore the importance of energy conservation. Energy in Action Scientists will be available to facilitate, demonstrate and guide children and their caregivers through this interactive space. A caregiver must remain with their children attending this exhibit for the entire hour.

CAREGIVERS must Pickup "Take-Out Burger & Fries" kit on Tuesday, 7/5 from 12-7 PM at Plumb Memorial Library. If you do not pickup your kit on the designated date, it will be given to a child on the Wait List.
Is that a delicious hamburger and fries in that basket or are our eyes deceiving us? Or is it a sweet treat disguised as America's favorite lunch food? Children of all ages are welcome to register for this unique food craft kit! Each Take-Out Burger & Fries will include: the directions and the supplies needed to create this delicacy in disguise! Registration is required for each child who would like to pickup a kit.
Once child has picked up the Take-Out Burger & Fries kit and brought it home, child can either: 1) Create the burger & fries on their own with the directions and supplies provided OR 2) View and follow along with the video on Miss Maura's Programs Facebook on Tuesday, July 5th.

Ages: Children 5 yrs old through 13 years old Have a unique ability to turn a pile of Legos into something unique? Put your building skills to the test! Plumb Memorial Library introduces a one-of-a-kind construction program: Lego Challenge on Wednesday, July 6 from 2 PM-3 PM at the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club Pavilion!
Each registered child will be provided with a Lego baseplate, a bag of Legos and a Lego challenge card to borrow for the program duration. The object is to build all the challenges on your card in 1 hour! Caregivers must remain with their child for program duration.

Story times will take place at the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club Pavilion, 38 Canal Street East, Shelton, CT 06484. Caregivers must remain with their child for program duration. Are you inquistive? Do you enjoy examing things through trial and error? We have created a special way for you to explore through the eyes of scientist this summer. Each Science Squad To-Go will include a science experiment, a lab report, a list of supplies and the items you will need to do your experiment at home.
