Experiment with art! Participants will learn a basic artistic concept and get a chance to experience it hands-on. We will premiere the video on our YouTube Channel for you to watch anytime.

ANIMAL EDITION! Cluck cluck!
Children in grades 1 to 5 are invited to join Miss Laura C. virtually on Madison Public Library's YouTube Channel to make a hatching chick! Using cardstock paper, yellow tissue paper, glue, crayons, feathers, googly eyes and tape, we will make baby chicks that will "pop" out of their eggs, all while learning about the life cycle of a chicken.

Anyone is free to watch the video and participate in the activity. Register for the program to receive a STEAM kit that you can pick up at the library once the video airs!

"Why couldn't the gardener plant any flowers? He hadn't botany!"
Children in grades 6 to 12 are invited to join Miss Laura C. virtually on Madison Public Library's YouTube Channel to plant seeds! We will be celebrating spring by planting seeds in small flower pots and watching them grow into plants. If proper care is taken, they should start growing within a few days! Observation "journals" will be included to help keep track of the plant's growth, and through this activity, we will learn all about the life cycle of a plant and what it takes to care for one to ensure its growth.
