Nutmeg Teen Book Discussion
Canton Public Library

Register Online or call --860-693-5800.
At this meeting teens will discuss Ghost, By Jason Reynolds. The plot: “at school, Castle "Ghost" Crenshaw is taunted about where he lives and what he wears. He also has an anger management problem, but the kid can run, really run. Supported by a loving mother and a tough but caring track-and-field coach, Ghost learns a few lessons about life and teamwork while reminding readers of the potential in everyone. Nuanced characters facing real-life problems delivered with the author's irresistible warmth and humor (SLJ Reviews).” The Nutmeg get-together is a perfect choice for students who want to read their way through the 2019 Award Nominees, from now through the next school year. For students entering Grades 6-8. Pick up book copies at the library, then read the book before attending the discussion. Registration required, either online on the Upcoming Programs listing, or by phone; free.
