Nutmeg Book Club: "Took: A Ghost Story" by Mary Downing Hahn
Canton Public Library
Wednesday, Apr. 25, 6:30 PM
Register Online or call --860-693-5800.
The book club will discuss Took: A Ghost Story, by Mary Downing Hahn, have a snack, and make a fun, book-themed craft. More than a book club, the group samples the intermediate grades’ nominees of the 2018 statewide Nutmeg Book Award so they can help determine which book will get the award. In this month’s story, undeniably the spookiest of the books on this year's Nutmeg list, Daniel is the new kid in a small town in West Virginia. He isn’t fooled by Brody trying to scare him with creepy ghost stories. When Daniel’s little sister starts acting strange and distant, eventually disappearing into the woods, Daniel knows something is terribly wrong. Could the ghost stories be true? Has Erica been “took?” For children in grades 4-6. Free; registration is required, either by phone or on the website under Upcoming Programs. Space is limited. For information: (860) 693-5800, childrensstaff@cantonpubliclibrary.org or www.cantonpubliclibrary.org

**NOTE**- If Canton Schools are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, so too are children's and teen events.  If there is a weather related delay, events will go on as scheduled.  If afterschool activities are cancelled, so too are children and teen events in that time-frame.**
