Certified Master Wildlife Conservationist Paul Colburn presents “The Bobcat – Connecticut’s Secretive Wild Cat” on Tuesday, January 23 at 7:00 pm.  His presentation will focus on the natural history of bobcats in Connecticut, an overview of bobcat habitat, diet, behavior, reproduction, and current research efforts.  Bobcat artifacts will be shared with the audience.  Mountain lions will be discussed as well. 

Paul Colburn is a 2015 graduate of the Master Wildlife Conservationist Program (MWCP) and a certified Master Wildlife Conservationist (MWC).  The MWCP is a Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) adult education program that trains volunteers in the fields of wildlife management, natural history and interpretation.  Mr. Colburn has provided over 125 wildlife presentations across the state and assisted DEEP with several wildlife research projects.  He currently offers MWC presentations on black bears, bobcats, eastern coyote, and a natural history of Connecticut dating back to 1650. Mr. Colburn is an avid outdoorsman, a graduate of Wesleyan University and served honorably in the United States Army.
