Have Your Cake and Eat it Too! Join us as Diane Dew a nutrition and wellness coach presents her 3-part series at the Goshen Library.
  • Hydration: Tuesday, June 25, at 6:30 p.m.: How much water do you need? How do you know if you are getting enough water? What does water do in your body? What happens if you get too much water? Did you know you can lose weight just by drinking more water?
  • Calories: Tuesday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m.: How many calories do you need in a day: A review of apps to assist with finding a number. Apps to help you track nutrition and hydration. The power of 100 calories per day. Fast food nutrition: review of 5 popular restaurants; where are our calories coming from; how to make small shifts to cut out 100-200 calories each time you dine at your favorite spot. Portion distortion: compare food sizes today and 20 years ago; look at dishes, utensils, etc.; are you getting a lot more calories than what you think; a review of food labels. 
  • Sleep: Tuesday, August 27, at 6:30 p.m.: We all know we should get more but why is this? Sleep basics - stages of sleep, what impacts falling asleep; Health implications of not getting enough sleep; Are you excessively sleeping? How to get better sleep.
