Genealogy Workshop: How Libraries Can Help With Family Research
Troke Branch Library
Saturday, Mar. 18, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Many genealogical records are available from your local library. Learn where to find and how to use old City Directories, microfilm of local newspapers, and genealogy books. The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library provides free access to Ancestry.com while in the library.
The main branch of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library has a comprehensive genealogy reference section which includes many local historical materials.
Come join us to learn what we have and which basic documents are most useful for discovering your roots.
After the presentation, Genealogical Society volunteers will be available to help with your research. Library computers with access to Ancestry Library Edition will be available. Feel free to bring your own laptop or use one of ours.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and use the Library's free WiFi!
Space is limited! Those interested in attending this workshop must sign-up at the Troke Branch Library Information Desk or call (209) 937-8221.
