Hello again!
To go along with the many changes taking place at the library these days, we are going to restart our Talk to the Frackville Library Blog. Although facebook seems to have taken the place of many sites like this, we hope to have some interesting stuff here directed toward those users who are really interested in our collection. We will still be featuring news of events on the blog, on the calendar, and on facebook as well. We welcome your comments and suggestions, either on the blog or through our comments page.

Get connected
The library is now equipped to offer wireless internet for those patrons who prefer to use their own computer. Thanks to a grant from Upper Schuylkill Revitalization, we now have wireless capability within the library. The grant also allowed us to replace four older computers with new desktop pc's. The board of trustees and staff are grateful for this opportunity to further serve the residents of Frackville and the rest of the county.

Changes
Thanks to some matching grants from Upper Schuylkill Revitalization, the library has been able to start work on a few projects that we have been planning for some time. First of all, we have added wireless internet to our list of services. Patrons can now use wireless devices within the library. Also we are changing the face of the library with new windows and doors. Some walls have been removed to open up the front of  the library and allow us to create a new teen/young adult area. The project will take a few more weeks to complete, and then we will announce an open house. In the meantime, stop in and see the work in progress.

What's Up?
We have finally resolved our updating challenges, and you can once again count on our website for the latest information about what's happening at the library. Just use the Calendar button on the left hand side of our home page and it will take to a list of events and programs for the current month. You can even register on-line! Of course you can still call 874-3382 or use our contact page as well. For the latest news on materials, services, and community events, read our Talk to the Library Blog. And don't forget, it's interactive, so you can talk back. We are also maintaining a Memorials page in order to recognize and thank those who have given a donation in remembrance of a loved one or friend. Thanks for your patience and for visiting our website.
