Ebooks are back!
When the library put its catalog on line back in August, the procedure for access to our ebook collection also changed. All members got new library card numbers, and these are now what must be used to checkout the ebooks. Unfortunately, we had a little glitch with that in October when our service provider made some changes to its server. Everything is back to normal now, and we apologize for any inconvienience. If you are having problems accessing ebooks on frackvillelibrary.com or if your device is not working as it was before, send an email to libinfo39@frackvillelibrary.com and someone will respond with assistance.  The image on this post is one of our latest additions to the collection, Hilary Mantel's award winning Wolf Hall, a masterful piece of historical fiction. It's checked out right now, but you can put it on hold and be next in line!

Get connected
The library is now equipped to offer wireless internet for those patrons who prefer to use their own computer. Thanks to a grant from Upper Schuylkill Revitalization, we now have wireless capability within the library. The grant also allowed us to replace four older computers with new desktop pc's. The board of trustees and staff are grateful for this opportunity to further serve the residents of Frackville and the rest of the county.

Need Some Space?

The Board of Trustees has agreed to offer the library's program room as a rental space. The room,  which is dedicated to the Frackville Women's Club, one of the forces behind the library's creation in 1939, is furnished with tables and chairs, a flat-screen TV, DVD player, and music system. Charges for use of the room include a $25 rental fee, plus additional fees for use of AV equipment and hot beverages if desired. Call the library for more details at 874-3382 or use our contact page at www.frackvillelibrary.com.

More changes!

New things happening at the library may cause a few inconveniences to our patrons, so  we would like to give you the details. On June 22 and 23 we will be changing internet service providers. Internet access may not be available on those two days, so please call first before you make an unecessary trip. Everything should be back in order by Wednesday, June 24.  Also, because of the change we may not be able to do website updates for awhile, but keep reading our blog.  Postings will be made frequently during this transition stage to keep you informed of all the library news. Thanks for your patience and if you have any questions, please call us at 874-3382 or use our contact page at www.frackvillelibrary.com.

Tax Form Central

Did the IRS send you the wrong booklet? Need a special form for some one- time event in the past year? Filing for the first time and need a little information? We can help at your library. The library has a generous supply of income tax forms for both Federal and State filing. If we don't have a form or publication that you need, we can tell you how to get it.  Since our service is intended  for individual filers, we are unable to supply forms for tax professionals.  Call us at 570-874-3382 or use our Contact Page at www.frackvillelibrary.com for more information.
