What Do I Read Next?
Books & Authors is a Readers' Advisory service, which draws from literary reference works to compliment your reading experience. Make use of numerous search methods to find titles and authors, including Read Alikes for your favorites. Additionally, create your own reading room where you can maintain reading lists and contribute ratings and reviews.
The 62nd Tony Awards are this Sunday, June 15th, but as exciting as the awards are, it's the shows we love to see. Check out these sites for information on your favorite shows, new and old.
This month's list list of reference resources includes the City of Oakwood Annual Report 2007 (available online here), as well as guides and directories for researching everything from coins to doctors to jobs.
As part of the Oakwood Centennial Celebration, local author Trudy Krisher will lead a memoir-writing workshop on Tuesday, June 17, from 6-8 p.m. in the Library meeting room. The following week, on June 24 from 6-8 p.m., writers will return to read their memoirs.
Participants are encouraged to bring mementos (such as a photo, corsage, or old letter jacket) to spark their creativity. The image above is a picture postcard commemorating the 1913 flood.
Please call the Library at 294-7171 to register for this program or send us an email.
