National Cyber Safety Awareness Month
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month.  Online safety has been a topic before on this blog, but here are some additional resources.  Along with the Department of Homeland Security, NCSAM is sponsored by the National Cyber Security Alliance and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC).  Both of these organizations have a wealth of information available on their websites on how to stay safe online.  Along with awareness tips there are tools, which you can use to ensure your computer is protected, as well as security advisories.

Another good site for valuable resources is the Microsoft Safety & Security Center.  Watch the video below for some basic information courtesy of Microsoft.

Ohio Cyber Safety Week

Kids need support and guidance to use the Internet, online video games and cell phones safely and wisely.  Ohio's first-ever Cyber Safety Week is aimed at helping them make the most of technology while steering clear of the bad guys.
