The Morningstar Investment newsletters are no longer available in print.  Wright Library patrons can now enjoy access to the Morningstar Investment Research Center online.  This resource is only available in the Library at our public computers.  Research more than 23,000 stocks and mutual funds; build and analyze an investment portfolio; and learn about stocks, mutual funds, and portfolios.  Along with a wealth of data, there are numerous educational resources (self-paced course, articles, and videos) which will help you learn the basics of investing and make informed decisions.

Digital Newspapers
Wright Library has added digital microfilm to our collection of online resources.  Now patrons can view scanned back issues of the Dayton Daily News and the New York Times on any Internet connected computer.  The Dayton Daily News archive consists of issues from January 1, 2010 through the present, while the New York Times begins with January 1, 2008 and continues through the present.  These scanned copies provide access to the complete newspaper, not just indexed articles such as appear in other databases.

To access this resource from outside the library, simply provide the barcode number from your library card.  Select or type in the newspaper title to begin your search.  Continue narrowing your search by year, month, day, and section of the newpaper.  To view earlier editions of these newspaper, visit the library to peruse our microfilm collection.

Back to School Reminder
It's back to school time and we want to remind students, parents, and teachers of the terrific online resources that Wright Library has available.  Many of these resources are designed for students, making acquiring knowledge easy (fun?).  Plus we have resources for every age-group:  elementary, middle school, high school.

For answering factual questions or getting started on a project, there are encyclopedias.  If you're working on a history project, we have numerous history-related resources, including Ohio history and biographies.  We also offer science, foreign language, and for those pesky book reports literature resources.  Take a look and see what's available and remember the Wright Library when you're doing your school work.

All our online resources can be found listed alphabetically or by category, just click on the Research and Homework link at the top of any Wright Library Web page.  And remember our reference librarians are always available to assist you.
