Ground will technically be broken very soon, when the City begins re-routing the storm sewer on the lot.
After that, in May, the site will be prepared for construction, including things like leveling the ground.
Finally, building construction will start sometime in July!
The Library will have a groundbreaking ceremony at some point in this process, though the date has not yet been decided.
