The new library's floor is being poured Thursday and Friday!! Lots of concrete. The slab is 4 inches thick and includes fiber mesh within the concrete for support and stability.
The concrete is to be covered by a concrete blanket which has an insulation value of R6.
From the progress meeting yesterday, we are told that after the concrete slab has sufficiently cured and after the steel supports are delivered, we will "go vertical" sometime in December.
